In a letter protesting the fact that the Jewish Agency cooperates with evangelical Christian bodies such as the International Embassy and the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews - as demonstrated recently most notably in a ceremony awarding immigrants helped by the former their ID papers - Mina Fenton, a long-time Jerusalem Council member and anti-missionary activist also referred to Matthew Wagner's article about "Jesus' Zionists," noting that Wagner "lauded Arieh Bar-David" and that the ICEJ also supports the Messianic Jewish community in Israel. Nekudah, September 13, 2009

Nekudah (September 13) printed an article by Rabbi Sir Jonathan Sacks, Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the Commonwealth since 1991, translated into Hebrew from his 2009 book Future Tense: A Vision for Jews and Judaism in the Global Culture (Hodder and Stoughton), which is due to be published in Hebrew. Entitled "The New Anti-Semitism," the piece comprised excerpts from the English version, in which Sacks develops the theory that "While the new anti-Semitism is a clear continuation of the old anti-Semitism, it is also different. It is neither Christian anti-Judaism nor the racial anti-Semitism of Nazi Germany. It is not directed against Jews as individuals but first and foremost against the Jews as a people; it is a mutant of anti-Zionism."
