Caspari Center's mission is to support the growth of Jewish believers in Jesus through education and research. Our vision is to see a growing community of Jewish believers in Jesus - in Israel and in the Church worldwide.
Ultimately, we believe it is the church's responsibility to proclaim God's covenant faithfulness through Jesus "to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile" (Romans 1:16). We exist to help the Church fulfill that mandate.
We focus our attention on Jewish believers in Jesus because their growth and maturity strike a blow against the common misperception that Jews and Jesus do not mix. In order for that growth to occur, we must support Jewish believers in Jesus directly while raising awareness of their presence in the Church.
Our programs reach many congregations in Israel, and our unique strength is based on our network of relationships with congregational leaders throughout the country. These programs use teachers and mentors from an array of diverse congregations, providing venues for emerging Israeli leaders to collaborate and stimulate new ideas. And because our participants come from a variety of cultures, regions and backgrounds, they are forming relationships that help strengthen their communities against the tensions that would otherwise pull them apart.
In the Diaspora, or regions outside of Israel, we have much to offer in the area of academic research. Our publications and developing film work are designed to dispel the widespread belief that Jewish believers in Jesus dropped out of history in the second century, and to help Jewish believers reclaim their identity and heritage.
The North American office raises awareness of our name and our mission among local churches and organizations. In America, as in other parts of the world, congregations may have never knowingly encountered Jewish believers in their midst. The North American office provides resources to educate Christian leaders about their role in supporting Jewish believers in Jesus in their own congregations as well as in Israel. We also supply opportunities for Christians to learn about the Jewish roots of their faith and improve their understanding of Scripture.
