Missionary Activity

Merkaz HaInyanim Merkaz, Merkaz HaInyanim Zafon, February 18, 2013

Two papers ran the same story on the collaboration between the International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem and the local non-profit organization of Yad Ezer LaChaver in assisting Holocaust survivors. The article describes how the non-profit is working together with the “money-laden” Christian Embassy, “whose misdeeds have been exposed many times in the past by anti-missionary activists.” This time, writes Avraham HaLevi, it seems that some of the elderly Holocaust survivors living in the home built by the two organizations are choosing to be buried in a Christian burial plot “as a way of acknowledging the aid they received from the Christian Embassy,” no matter how much their families might be opposed to the decision. Now the Israeli non-profit is organizing a cantillation evening in Haifa, “but the anti-missionary activists in the North are warning the general public in the Haifa area not to attend this event.”
