Conversion to Judaism

The author recounted a story about a Christian priest from a Dominican Monastery in Argentina who converted to Judaism. When he was young, the priest decided to devote his life to God in the Catholic Church. The author said that in the past few years, many Christians have been asking to convert to Judaism, both out of disappointment with their religion, but also out of love for Judaism.

Twenty-five Jews who came out of the Jehovah’s Witnesses and Messianic Judaism “cults” were taken on a repentance tour of Jerusalem by Yad L’Achim. The tour culminated in prayer at the Western Wall.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the President of Honduras, Juan Orlando Hernández, agreed that Honduras would transfer its embassy to Jerusalem by the end of 2020. Half of the Honduran population is Evangelical Christian.

The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, together with the company Amidar, are distributing gift vouchers worth 3 million shekels to single-parent households in honor of the new Jewish year. A total of 6,600 families will each receive 500 shekels. This is part of a larger package worth 15 million shekels that will be used to help families, the elderly, soldiers, and children.
